WPTV video: Will new Lake O discharges lead to another lost summer?

From WPTV: A group of environmentalists met at the St. Lucie Locks in Stuart Monday to protest the Army Corps of Engineers decision to reopen the locks and move water east from the lake.  

That water was determined to be toxic last week by state officials.

Things have changed a lot on Lake Okeechobee in the past week.

Last Monday, there was a huge algae bloom at the eastern edge of the lake and there was a lot of algae up against the locks in Port Mayaca.
