WPBF: Search continues for refugees ashore on Jupiter Island

Officials from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S Border Patrol responded to the 300 block of Beach Road after getting a call from Jupiter Island that several refugees were seen running from a boat.

Lt. Dennis Fritchie of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said 16 refugees were taken into custody and they are still looking for four more, including a 10 or 12-year-old female.
