Video: Marijuana with $800K street value found on Jupiter Island, ‘biggest bust in recent memory’

Investigators call it the biggest bust in recent memory: 800 pounds of marijuana were found hidden in the bushes on Jupiter Island. The drugs have an estimated street value of $800,000, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. See the WPTV video here:

The MCSO reports that 33-year old Joel Lucas Strachan has been charged with Trafficking in Cannabis following the seizure of more than 790 pounds of marijuana that was smuggled into the area.  Strachan is from Freeport Bahamas, and being held without bond.

Investigators collected bales and suitcases full of drugs hidden in the dunes along the beach.
