US Sugar land buy rejected

WPBF reports that despite protests from environmentalists and concerned Treasure Coast residents, officials have voted down an option to buy US Sugar land south of Lake Okeechobee.

The South Florida Water Management District board voted unanimously against a contract to buy 46,800 acres of US Sugar land on Thursday.
