By order of Sheriff William Snyder, The Martin County Sheriff’s Office continues efforts to put and end to the manufacturing, sale and distribution of methamphetamine in our community with three more meth related arrests last night.

MCSO Special Investigations Detectives along with DEA Special Agents arrested 23-year-old Amanda Herneryd, 34-year-old Ronald Stump and his brother, 36-year-old James Stump all of Palm City. Each has been charged with Principal in the 1st Degree to Manufacture Methamphetamine.

The trio was responsible for purchasing several boxes of medication containing pseudoephedrine for a suspect who was recently arrested and charged with manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine.

Pseudoephedrine is used to manufacture meth. If you knowingly purchase pseudoephedrine for someone to make meth, you are equally responsible for the crime.

Detectives anticipate numerous arrests in the future. Herneryd, Stump, and Stump each have bonds of $100,000.
