Stuart News changes its TCPalm online to subscription only

Premium and digital subscription options are available, according to Bob Brunjes, publisher of The Stuart News. In order to access the publication and its website online, readers must now pay to become subscribers.

According to The Huffington Post, “Some 400 U.S. newspapers now charge readers for online access. In some cases, online subscriptions are bundled with print subscriptions. As a result, the industry’s 2012 circulation revenue returned to slightly above the 2007 level of $10.3 billion. It was still below 2003’s peak of $11.2 billion.” (Complete story at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/08/newspaper-revenue-decline-2012_n_3034905.html)
