State Senate President Joe Negron of Stuart

Florida Senate President Joe Negron (R-Stuart) has announced he will retire from Senate later this year:

“My letter to Governor Scott on retiring from the Florida Senate in November, when my term as Senate President ends, is attached. It has been an honor to represent the citizens of the Treasure Coast and parts of Palm Beach County in the Florida Senate.”

President Negron served in the Florida House from 2000 to 2006. He began serving in the Florida Senate in 2009 after winning a special election, and was elected Senate President in November 2016.
