Sleeping Florida man arrested in drive-thru, offers cops taco as I.D. from inside burning car

A 30-year-old man was arrested October 1 in the drive-thru of a Jensen Beach Taco Bell.

Deputies arrived to find him either passed out or sleeping — and smelling of booze — with his foot on the truck’s gas pedal, according to police.

When asked for his I.D., the man handed the officers a taco. He then began trying to eat the taco.

Deputies realized the truck was on fire after the man had exited the vehicle.

Breath tests showed a blood alcohol content at 0.227 and 0.225, about three times the 0.08 legal limit.
