Residents asked to comment, make policy for Martin’s future on new website

Maggy Hurchalla, nationally renowned five-term Martin County Commissioner

Nationally renowned environmental expert and five-term Martin County Commissioner Maggy Hurchalla knows that Martin County residents clearly feel strongly about preserving our quality of life, preserving our environment, improving our economy and practicing fiscal restraint.

At an open forum on Sept 5, 2012 (another scheduled for October 13 at Stuart’s Blake Library), and through over 100 emails, Martin County residents have expressed hopes, concerns and fears about changing Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of our Comprehensive Plan to put back goals and policies that have been removed and to make sure the amendment process and the overall goals are clear and consistent. With those goals in mind, Hurchalla has created a new website for residents’ comments and updates.
