Republican candidate added to Martin Commission District 3 race

Anne O'Laughlin Scott

Registered voters in Martin County are eligible to vote for candidates in all districts, not just the one in which they reside.

In addition to currently serving on the Town of Jupiter Island Commission, Commissioner O’Laughlin Scott is a retired judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School, Chicago. She was admitted to the bar in 1974.

At a recent joint meeting of the City of Stuart and the Town of Jupiter Island Commissions, Commissioner O’Laughlin Scott said the two commissions are telling the county (re proposed developments in the Hobe Sound area) to “Hold fast. You don’t have to open that door (to growth outside Martin’s plan.) We need you, we’re relying on you, we’re counting on you to hold fast.”
