According to The Daily Business  Review: Chubby Checker is twisting the arms of several major retailers to stop selling cufflinks sold using his name. Prominent plaintiffs attorney Willie Gary, who leads the Law Offices of Gary, Williams, Parenti & Watson in Stuart, teamed up with Fort Lauderdale lawyer Michael Santucci to represent the 73-year-old musician, whose real name is Ernest Evans.

The pair previously joined Johnnie Cochran to win a $240 million verdict against the Walt Disney Co. in a trade secrets case in 2002. More recently, Gary and Santucci helped Evans arrange a settlement with Hewlett-Packard for allegedly selling a penis-measuring app called “The Chubby Checker.”
