Political committees from outside Martin County smeared local candidates

TCPalm reports that political committees based outside of Martin County played an unprecedented role in the Aug. 14 Republican primary contests for countywide office, several longtime political activists said. The most visible evidence of the increased efforts by out-of-town forces to influence Martin County races was the proliferation of postcards deposited in voters’ mailboxes.
