Pillowcase burglary suspects arrested in Palm City. Lbee Evans and (r.) Emil Porter, both of Homestead.

Because of the quick action of a Palm City homeowner, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) was able to arrest two suspects in a home burglary. Lbee Evans and Emil Porter, both of Homestead were charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling, and are being held at MCSO on $20,000 bond each. A good vehicle description and a phone call to 9-1-1 was key in a 19-minute apprehension.
The thieves broke into a home in Canoe Creek in Palm City. The homeowners saw the men jump out of a back window and called MCSO with a car description. Within minutes a traffic stop was conducted, and the suspects were arrested. Both men are from Homestead. Deputies are still searching the area for a possible third suspect in the Crane Creek and Canoe Creek area of Palm City.
