Tricia Todd of Hobe Sound was likely dismembered with a chainsaw, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said Friday as the State Attorney’s Office worked to throw out its plea deal with her ex-husband, who confessed to killing the single mother, Air Force veteran and hospice nurse but did not lead authorities to her body.
It appears Williams on April 27 cut Todd’s body into pieces in the wooded area, 15 miles southwest of her Hobe Sound home, Snyder said. Todd’s partial remains were found inside a plastic container filled with a liquid that investigators believe is acid.
“I will put this man on a slow bus to Death Row because in the end, this is a premeditated murder,” Thomas Bakkedahl, the case’s prosecutor, said ata news conference Friday. He plans to argue for a stiffer sentence at the June 24 sentencing hearing for Steven Williams.
