PBPost: Jupiter Island’s Tiger plans to be hands-on owner of new restaurant

Tiger Woods speaks to the media during a press conference in a practice round prior to the 2015 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits on August 11, 2015 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. (Source: Palm Beach Post)

It’s been nine years since the 14-time major winner purchased what was to become his 10,000-square-foot home on Jupiter Island and six years since he moved in. A regular at Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound over the years, he spoke about how his new venture only will continue to strengthen his ties to the north Palm Beach area.

…Woods only can hope his restaurant is more successful than he has been on the golf course the past two years. He’s missed the cut in three of the last four majors, taking a four-month hiatus after shooting 74-74 in last year’s PGA at Louisville and then failing to make the weekend at the U.S. Open and British Open this year, the first time he’s missed back-to-back cuts in majors in his career.
