Palm Beach Post: Martin Business Development Board facing up to new reality

BDB Executive Director Tim Dougher was under fire for spending some of the $625,000 the county each year gave the BDB at such watering holes as the Bourbon Cowboy in New Orleans, San Antonio’s Mad Dogs Pub and Boston’s Whiskey Priest, according to The PB Post. (Photo: Mad Dogs Pub)

From The Palm Beach Post’s award-winning blogger, Sally Swartz: After a year of wrangling with the Business Development Board over changes to its old sweetheart deal contract, Martin County commissioners are closing in on a fair deal for the BDB — and for the residents who pay its bills.
