Migrants taken into custody along Jupiter Island

Martin County Sheriff’s Office deputies spent the early morning hours yesterday assisting Jupiter Island PD, Tequesta PD, Jupiter PD and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in locating 11 illegal immigrants that landed onshore in the area of Jupiter Island and the south county line. The smuggling vessel and all 11 illegal immigrants have been taken into custody and turned over to Border Patrol.

WPBF reports that local police and sheriff’s deputies from Palm Beach and Martin Counties joined in the search for more migrants seen running from the beach near the county line.
