The Martin County Sheriff’s Office reports that 21-year old Darius Philmore (pictured) and 15-year old Joshua Marshall, were arrested in Palm Beach County, not long after the pair carjacked a Martin County real estate professional showing a condominium at the Cedar Point Condominiums on East Ocean Boulevard.

It happened around 4:30pm, last Friday. It appears that the suspect vehicle (a small tan car) followed the victim into the condo area. One of the suspects jumped out of their vehicle and held the victim at gunpoint. That suspect took her SUV and all contents inside the vehicle. The suspect car fled behind the Lexus. Deputies quickly issued a BOLO (Be On Look Out) on the stolen black Lexus SUV.

Shortly afterwards, The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office did an outstanding job spotting that Lexus going at a high rate of speed along Congress Avenue in West Palm Beach. Dozens of units, including their SWAT Team were able to apprehend the driver, and the passenger (who attempted to hide inside his family’s home). Both suspects are from Palm Beach County.

The suspect’s charges in PBC range from fleeing and eluding, grand theft, and resisting arrest without violence. 15-year old Joshua Marshall was booked into the PBC Jail and transferred to the Department of Juvenile Justice. Darius Philmore was also booked. Philmore, has an extensive criminal history including several felony arrests and 6-felony convictions for similar crimes. He is also a known a gang member. Their bonds in Palm Beach County are $8,000. Both will be brought to Martin County and charged with Armed Carjacking and Armed Robbery, where each face bonds of $1.1 million dollars.
