Martin County Sheriff’s detectives have  confirmed the identities of two of the three suspects who lead deputies on a pursuit, which ended in a crash along Palm City Road. The three suspects involved in today’s pursuit and crash are identified as: 24-year-old Tramain Jovonne Reed of Riviera Beach, and 47-year-old Charles E Williams of Tallahassee.

All three are currently being charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and 1 count of Aggravated Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer. The unnamed suspect is also being charged with Fleeing and Eluding and driving with a suspended license.

Pending further investigation, other charges are possible.

It started as a suspicious incident call when a resident along the 2200 block of Country Club Lane in Stuart returned home and saw the three men in his driveway. The trio fled. The resident called 911 with a description of the vehicle and the suspects.

Deputies responding to the call attempted a traffic stop but the driver of the car refused and ran a red light in attempt to get away.

The pursuit ended in a crash along Palm City Road as the suspect vehicle, heading towards a busy intersection, rammed head-on into a marked sheriff’s office pick up truck driven by Detective John Barca. Detective Barca received minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. He has since been released.

A gun was recovered at the scene.

The suspects were transported to the hospital with undetermined injuries. All three are facing serious charges.
