Martin County Sheriff’s Detectives are on the scene of a home in Stuart, where two bodies have been discovered inside. The home is located at 3214 SE Fairway West, in the gated residential neighborhood of Stuart Yacht and County Club.

Detectives are awaiting a search warrant at this hour to enter the home, but foul play is suspected due to the traumatic nature of the scene.

UPDATE: Martin County Sheriff’s Detectives have started to piece together what appears to be a double murder suicide that started at this upscale home on Fairway West Drive in Stuart.

Inside, 72-year old Gloria Bono and her 45-year old son Michael were found shot to death this afternoon. The Bono’s did not live there, but detectives suspect they went to the home at some point to meet Robert Gulick who did occasional maintenance work at the home. Early this morning, Gulick’s body was found at the Best Western Hotel in Stuart. Police say he shot himself inside one of the rooms. They also discovered Gloria Bono’s car in the parking lot of that hotel.

Stuart police began looking for Gloria Bono after a family member called to request a welfare check on the woman because they were not able to reach her. Detectives are not sure of the motive for the murders, but they do believe the suspect responsible for the Bono homicides, was in fact Gulick.

The owner of the home lives out of state, and said no one should have been inside the home.

Martin County Sheriff’s Deputies and crime scene detectives are also on the scene of a suspicious vehicle located at 460 SE Monterey Road. It is likely this vehicle is linked to the suspect in the double murder suicide that was discovered yesterday.
