Martin County Sheriff’s Office situational update

From Martin County Sheriff William Snyder:

As United States law enforcement continues to monitor information being disseminated following the horrific terror attacks to the innocent civilians in Brussels, I wanted to inform the citizens of Martin County of the following:

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has personnel assigned to the FBI Terrorism Task Force and continuously works with local, state, and federal agencies, to monitor, and investigate all information associated with threats of terrorism to the citizens of our county.

We have no reason to believe that such a threat to our citizens exists at this time.

Your Uniform Road Patrol Deputies are the best in the state, and remain vigilant investigating any suspicious activity in their perspective zones.

Our specialized units, such as SWAT, Bomb Disposal Team, and Emergency Operations Unit engage in continuous training and are prepared to respond to emergencies on all levels.

Of course, whether a threat exists or not, our citizens must always remain alert, and report any suspicious activity or concerns to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

We must remain united not only as a country, but as a community, to ensure that terror does not reach our doorstep.
