Martin County Sheriff: 75 arrested following three-day drug interdiction operation near Palm City

Following a three-day drug interdiction operation near I-95 and SR 714 in Palm City, the Martin County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Division along with K-9 Units, and Community Policing Deputies made 75 arrests with charges ranging from fleeing and eluding, possession of heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, and other illegal drugs such as MDMA (also known as ecstasy or molly).
Prescription drugs were also found.Throughout the operation, two firearms were recovered, five vehicles seized, and two fugitives from Pennsylvania were arrested. Most of those arrested were either from out of state or out of county.This type of operation is done several times a year and is designed to deter criminals utilizing I-95 in Martin County as a travel corridor.
