Martin County establishes hotline for beach conditions information

Know before you go. Martin County has established a hotline for the public to obtain information on water conditions at local beaches.

Call 772-320-3112 to obtain daily information on beach conditions.

This information will be updated every morning by Martin County Ocean Rescue staff.

Over the last several days, blue-green algae has been observed at Martin County beaches.

At this time, Ocean Rescue is flying double red flags at all four guarded beaches in Martin County: Hobe Sound, Bathtub Reef, Stuart and Jensen.

Beachgoers are being advised to avoid contact with the water until further notice.

For more information on blue-green algae from Martin County Engineering Department Ecosystems Restoration and Management Division or visit Martin County’s Speak Up for the St. Lucie Facebook page for updated information on local water conditions.
