Fried rice and stir fry combos don’t normally come with a side of stolen jewelry, but authorities say that’s exactly what a few thieves dished up in Palm City.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy made the unusual find after stopping a car and conducting a search. The jewelry was mixed in with food, utensils and an egg roll in a take out box. Authorities also found shards of glass on the passenger seat of the car that detectives believe is from a Brevard County home burglary, along with a stolen Nikon camera and a small bag of marijuana.

Deputies arrested and charged 19-year-old Michael Lashon King, 20-year-old Henry Lee Mims Jr, and 18-year-old Lavretsky Dareus in addition to an unidentified juvenile.
