Martin County Commissioner Sarah Heard files to run for re-election

[From Maggy Hurchalla,  a 20-year Martin County Commissioner, an active member of numerous Governor Commissions on the Everglades, water and planning, a lifelong advocate for wetlands preservation, a winner of national, state and local environmental and conservation awards regarding wetlands, land planning, water studies; she is a resident of Rocky Point.]

You are looking at the picture of courage.

Her name is Sarah Heard.

Lake Point, Big Sugar, and developers have done their damnedest to make Sarah give up and walk away.

She’s always been on our side and on the side of the environment. She’s always been the commissioner who did her homework and knew more of what she was talking about than any of the others.

And she’s brave enough to keep fighting for us.

Volunteer to help with the campaign.

Facebook and email all your friends about the good news that Sarah is running.

Send a campaign contribution.

Write letters to the editor.

Find your old Sarah Heard tee shirt and start wearing it everywhere.

The other side will put up the ugliest and most expensive campaign in Martin County history.

Sarah’s willing to do her part.

With our help she can and will win.
