Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers and many wonderful volunteers did an outstanding job keeping this sick whale comfortable Sunday morning while experts made a determination on its condition.

Unfortunately, experts determined that the whale was too ill to survive, and it was humanely euthanized.

Thanks to everyone who showed such compassion and worked to assist this sick mammal.
