Keeping the lagoon healthy: October 20 Mullet Run is a fundraiser for Indian Riverkeeper

The annual migration of baitfish along the Indian River Lagoon (and the game fish that follow) is a great reason for a fundraising celebration for the Indian Riverkeeper: the 2012 Fort Pierce Mullet Run from 6 to 10 p.m. October 20 at Taylor Creek Marina, 1600 N. Second St. in Fort Pierce. It’s especially important to support the riverkeeper program during the Lake O releases.

The party will include a fried fish dinner, beer and wine, auctions, raffles and live music. Cost is $15. Proceeds will benefit the riverkeeper program, which advocates to keep the Inidan River lagoon healthy. For more information, call 772-631-5827.
