If Amendment 2 passes, medical marijuana to be distributed through pain clinics in Martin

From WPTV: “It just takes a handful of unscrupulous individuals” to create wide misuse of medical marijuana, Sheriff William Snyder told the Martin County Commission during its most recent meeting.

Making marijuana easily accessible to children is a chief concern, according to Chief Assistant State Attorney Tom Bakkedahl. Amendment 2 has no age or parental consent regulations, Bakkedahl said.

Medical marijuana dispensaries, if state voters approve a measure legalizing them, would be added into the county’s regulations for pain management clinics.
