From The Palm Beach Post: Update, 5:20 p.m.: The National Weather Service’s Melbourne office reported that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Hobe Sound at 7:15 a.m.

Some residents of Hobe Sound and southern Martin County are reporting damage from this morning’s storm.

In addition, FPL is reporting clusters of outages throughout Palm Beach and Martin counties, though none of them are very big.

Also, a tractor-trailer crash on southbound I-95, which shut down three lanes of traffic close to the Bridge Road exit, may have been caused by high winds, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Three to four residences located off Southeast Coconut Street and Southeast Palm Street had large trees collapse onto rooftops and smash into windows.

One residential home on Coconut Street had its roof completely blown off, with part of the structure landing onto a car in the neighborhood.
