Golf cart thefts lead to Sailfish Splash Waterpark burglary arrests

The Martin Sheriff’s Office has arrested 20-year old Timothy Strunk Jr., of Stuart, in connection to a rash of golf cart thefts taking place in Martin County. Strunk confessed to stealing a number of carts then abandoning them in wooded areas throughout the county. In addition, Strunk confessed to taking part in the July 6th burglary of the Sailfish Splash Waterpark in Stuart.

Also arrested, 24-year old Nathan Jordan, and 16-year old Christian Scirrotto , both of Stuart. They were charged with taking part in the waterpark burglary with Strunk.

More than $8,000 in property, including electronics and perishable food was stolen from the park. Much of that property has been recovered. Detectives credit the park surveillance camera system for capturing images of the crime, as well as the park management for their cooperation in gathering important evidence to help solve the case.

All three suspects were charged with Burglary and Grand Theft, and taken to the Martin County Jail. Christian Scirrotto was booked and released to his parents. Strunk had outstanding warrants and has no bond. Nathan Jordan is being held on a $5000.00 bond.
