FPL rate case: Customer service charge could increase 27 percent

From The Palm Beach Post: Florida Power & Light Co.’s $1.33 billion rate increase will come totally from its customers, and the company is seeking to raise various fees as well as the amount it charges for electricity to accomplish that.

Every residential customer pays the same “customer charge” of $7.87 a month, and FPL wants to increase that 27 percent to $10 a month, according to documents filed with the Florida Public Service Commission.
