Florida’s minimum wage increases January 1

 

Florida’s standard minimum wage increases by 12 cents from $7.67 to $7.79 an hour. Minimum wage in 2013 for tipped employees is increased from $4.65 to $4.77 an hour.

According to the National Employment Law Project, the increase will affect 210,000 workers in the state and add $46.2 million to the state’s gross domestic product, the Associated Press said.
