  A free finance course called ‘Money $mart: Investing Basics for a Solid     Financial Future’ begins Sept. 27 at the Hobe Sound Public Library, 10595 S.E. Federal Highway.

Covered in the program will be:

• Saving vs. investing

• Creating a budget and goals

• Emergency funds

• Allocation and diversification

• Tax strategies

• Types of investments

Offered Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Sept. 27 through Nov. 15, advance registration is required. Space is limited; to register, call 772-221-1401. Participants who complete the course will receive a free subscription to Money Magazine.
