Dr. Rob Levy, candidate for State Senate District 25, officially launches general election campaign

Dr. Rob Levy

Dr. Rob Levy, candidate for State Senate District 25,  a 35-year resident of Martin County as well as a physician and small businessman, officially launches his general election campaign this evening at The Roasted Record, 724 S. Colorado Avenue, Stuart. Light hors’oeuvrees will be served, the event begins at 6PM.

He established the first primary care center in Port St. Lucie in 1983, which had grown to a multi-site practice with 18 physicians by 1990.

Although he sold his practice in 1997, he remains invested in the medical community as a volunteer physician with Volunteers in Medicine, and as a member of one of the Federal Disaster Medical Assistance Teams.

Access to affordable healthcare, the health impact of toxic algae blooms in our rivers, the need for improved public education in our District and improved employment opportunities for middle class residents, are among the critical concerns Dr. Levy will fight for in Tallahassee.

About the venue:

The Roasted Record started on a front porch while roasting coffee on a home roaster, listening to vinyl records, and drinking a few (too many) beers.  The origin was a simple blog post of how incredible the sounds and smells were and how enjoyable the process was.

Today The Roasted Record is a retail store and roastery located in Historic Downtown Stuart.  The roastery is a coffee shop and a vinyl record store all in one.  This is a tribute to what started it all, the before mentioned night roasting on a porch smelling freshly roasted coffee and listening to vinyl music.
