District 5 adds real estate broker as another new candidate for Martin County Commissioner

According to the Florida Department of State, Tucker is associated with two companies in Okeechobee: The Good and Faithful, Inc., which he serves as Treasurer and President; and, The Tucker Group, LLC, which he serves as Manager.

Information on The Good and Faithful website details that Tucker attended Florida State University in Tallahassee where he obtained his Associate of Arts degree and Bachelors of Science in business with a major in real estate (1997). On the website, Tucker adds that he is currently regarded as one of the leading real estate brokers in South-Central Florida, and serves with the following organizations: Seacoast National Bank (community board member),YMCA of the Treasure Coast, Inc. (corporate board member), and a board member of Okeechobee Christian Academy.

According to The Tucker Group website, he is also a board member of the Economic Council of Okeechobee, and “one of Florida’s leading real estate brokers handling over $250,000,000 in transactions in the past decade.” His specialties include: agricultural use properties, commercial and industrial properties, and development projects (acquisition and entitlements).

Tucker told The Stuart News that he thinks that the current District 5 Commissioner Edward Ciampi has done a good job on the commission. Tucker also said he is keeping an open mind about the Hobe Grove and Harmony development of regional impact proposals in Hobe Sound, as well as the idea of moving Martin County’s urban service boundary.

“I believe the urban service boundary is an important thing to have,” Tucker said. “I don’t believe that you should say that you’re never going to move that boundary. I think that’s closed minded and shortsighted.”
