Desperate for help: MCSO removes 11 horses, donkey in poor condition from Indiantown property

The Martin County Sheriff’s Agricultural Crimes Unit is currently rescuing eleven horses and one donkey from a pasture on SW Amaryliss Avenue, and SW Arrowroot Street in Indiantown.

Some of the animals are said to be in poor condition.

The owner has agreed to voluntarily surrender the animals.

The horses and donkey will be taken to ERAF (Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation) in Palm City where they will be evaluated and nursed back to health.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office will continue to investigate this case.

The owner is cooperating with law enforcement at this time, but detectives will work with the State Attorney’s Office to pursue possible charges.
