Celebrate great books and meet the authors at BookMania! March 5

 The Treasure Coast’s most anticipated and beloved celebration of literature, BookMania!, will be held at Jensen Beach High School on Saturday, March 5, from 8:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The free event is sponsored by the Library Foundation of Martin County, Inc. and produced by the Martin County Library System.

Since 1995, BookMania! has showcased the literary talent of over 300 authors. This year, the event will welcome 10 exceptional authors from around the country including bestsellers Les Standiford and Paula McLain.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m., Les Standiford will discuss his most recent book, “Water to the Angels: William Mulholland, His Monumental Aqueduct, and the Rise of Los Angeles.”

The historical fiction panel will begin at 10 a.m. with Kim van Alkemade, “Orphan #8;” Meg Waite Clayton, “The Race for Paris;” Dolen Perkins-Valdez, “Balm;” and Katy Simpson Smith, “Free Men.”

The thriller/suspense panel will begin at 11:15 a.m. with Alafair Burke, “The Ex;” Tami Hoag, “The Bitter Season;” Phillip Margolin, “Violent Crimes;” and Lisa Unger, “Crazy Love You.”
