Breaking news: Lawsuit filed against Martin County today re Pitchford’s Landing

Breaking news from Ginny Sherlock, renowned local attorney, civic activist, and former Associated Press editor: A lawsuit was filed against Martin County today on behalf of the Pitchford’s Landing developers by the same attorneys who are prosecuting the Lake Point rockpit lawsuit against Martin County and the SLAPP suit against Maggy Hurchalla for expressing opposition to the environmentally questionable project owned, in part, by George Lindemann, Jr., who served time in federal court for having his show horse electrocuted to try to collect insurance proceeds.

The lawsuit was filed after the Board of County Commissioners voted 4-1 to deny a proposed amendment to the Pitchford’s Landing PUD Agreement and a proposed revised master site plan as well as a proposed final site plan for the Pitchford’s project based on substantial competent evidence and staff findings of inconsistency with County land development regulations and the Comprehensive Plan.
