From The Palm Beach Post:

A deputy was flagged down by a man who told him there was a woman sitting on a bench in the 11200 block of Southeast Federal Highway in Hobe Sound who had been hit in the face by her boyfriend at his house nearby. The deputy determined the woman, who denied she was hit, was extremely intoxicated and called fire rescue to evaluate her. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital. Two deputies went to the boyfriend’s house in the 8300 block of Southeast Sunset Street and spoke to neighbors. They said the woman had been sitting in a chair, drinking beer with them. The woman urinated in her pants, then pulled them down to her ankles. At that moment, her boyfriend had come out of the house and, seeing her with her pants pulled down, punched her in the side of the head and knocked her to the ground. Deputies spoke to the boyfriend, who said he was angry seeing his girlfriend with her pants down and he hit her. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

A speeding vehicle was stopped in the 16400 block of Southeast Federal Highway in Hobe Sound. A deputy observed an open bottle of wine on the passenger floorboard. When the deputy asked the 63-year-old driver if there were other contraband in the vehicle, he gestured to a pipe in plain view in the center console, adding, “weed is in there.” The deputy asked the man if he had been drinking, and the man replied, “Yes, a lot.” He was arrested, taken to an area hospital for clearance, then to the county jail.
