911 call leads to arrest of reckless driver who injured a bicyclist on Bridge Road

A motorist concerned about the driving pattern of another car worked diligently to try to prevent a serious crash, but the actions of 24-year old Nicolas Barahona-Neira, who was impaired and behind the wheel of the reckless vehicle, were too out of control.

In the end Barahone-Neira, of Hollywood, hit and injured a man riding a bicycle along Bridge Road yesterday.

Once stopped, deputies found a disheveled and dazed man with cocaine, marijuana, hash oil, and drug paraphernalia inside the car.

The concerned motorist driving behind Barahone-Neira called 911 detailing the dangerous driving taking place.

Moments into the call, Barahone-Neira runs over a bicyclist.

The bicyclist was injured and transported to a local hospital.

Nicolas Barahona-Neira was taken to the Martin County Jail and charged with Driving under the Influence,Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cannabis, Possession with the Intent to Sell, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
